Early Spring fishing has been really good this year. and looks like going into 2019 Mid Summer Salmon fishing,  should stay the same. The water is still fairly cold for this time of year because of high water. Fathers day in next weekend and the 4th of July is just around the corner. we have several dates open for the rest of June and a couple days left over the 4th weekend.  Family fishing is very popular in July and August.

Mid-summer can be a great time to go salmon fishing on Lake Michigan, as the fish tend to be more active and feeding aggressively. Here are some tips to help you have a successful fishing trip:

  1. Timing: The best time of day to fish for salmon is typically early in the morning or later in the evening, when the water is cooler and the fish are more active.
  2. Location: We’ll find the areas of the lake with deep water and cooler temperatures. Salmon tend to stay in these areas during the summer months.
  3. Equipment: We’ll make sure you have the right equipment for salmon fishing, including a sturdy rod, reel, and line. Use lures or bait that are attractive to salmon, such as spoons or cut bait.
  4. Technique: When trolling for salmon, try using a variety of speeds and depths to find what works best. We’ll pay attention to the fish finder to see where the fish are located and help adjust your technique accordingly.

Remember to grab you licenses before going fishing. Good luck and have fun!
